The use of Straight Vegetable Oil, or SVO, as an engine fuel is not a new concept. The inventor and pioneer of the diesel engine, Rudolph Diesel, ingeniously designed and built the first diesel engine fueled by readily available and renewable 'peanut oil'. The use of SVO to fuel Diesel's engine began in 1898 and continued into the mid 1920's until 'Big Business' petroleum oil companies forced design changes to the Diesel engine to enable the non-renewable and now very costly petroleum fuel products to be used.

Besides the inherent benefits of a renewable fuel, using VEG-oil significantly reduces engine exhaust particulate emissions over using petroleum-based diesel fuels. Burning VEG-oil does not create new carbon pollution because the CO2 produced was taken out of the air by the plants from which the oil is made of. VEG-oil as a fuel does not contribute to 'Acid Rain', as it is sulfur free! VEG-oil is also 'non-toxic' and if spilled is quickly 'bio-degradable' back to the earth in which it was grown.

Also, VEG-oil is inherently a much more effective lubricating fuel than petro-diesel... Proof of this is evident by listening to the difference in engine noise when running on either petro-diesel, or VEG-oil. Initially the engine is usually started on petro-diesel until the SVO is heated to optimum burn rate temperature by a VEG-oil conversion system. Once the fuel selector switch from petro-diesel to SVO is activated and the veg-oil is powering the engine there is a very noticeable quieting of engine noise, therein proving that engine friction and wear is significantly reduced.

Justifiably we now design and install our own aftermarket modification products & systems to allow the almighty Diesel engine to be fueled by VEG-oil again and to perform as it was originally intended by Rudolph Diesel himself, a very wise man in many aspects.
